European Commission vice-president Frans Timmermans took part in a public meeting with the Greens/EFA group in a questions-and-answers format with MEPs. The group had already expressed concern at Mr Timmermans interpretation of his 'better regulation' remit and his focus on de-regulation and with the vice-president also having responsibility for sustainable development, transparency and civil liberties, core policy areas from a Green perspective, his record and intentions on these areas has been also in focus.
